I'm in search of I believe just a 77-79 dana 60
Unless there isnt a difference on other years?
Scratch that, new plan, details below.
However, i need 78/79 dana 44 off a f250 for the leafspring set up and the 32 splines.
installing this in a 77k5 blazer with a 2017 LT and 8 speed. These axles will put me driver side drop and match the 2017 transfer case and have leaf springs to match the current suspension on the k5.
if someone has a set or jus a front....closer to texas the better; id love to talk.
thanks guys

Do you know the difference between a high pinion and low pinion axle ? The axle your looking for is high pinion knowing the difference will allow you to eliminate a good chunk of the axle choices you encounter.
Here are the axles that pertain to your search here. Also an option depending on what your budget is.
Yea and if you do find one, you better have a fat wallet to buy it. If the owner knows what he actually has, it can cost you $1500 and up now days thanks to jeep and rock bouncer guys. You might be better off way easier and cheaper to source a 2005+ Super 60 F350/F450 Super Duty axle.
Here's what I'm up against guys....
I have a 77k5 blazer
We are installing a 2017 6.2LT
What I got figured out so far is...
First and thank God for this, it doesnt have to be a 60; it can be a 44
but as far as I can tell so far it has to be from a 78/79ford f250 to retain 2 things 32 spline and leaf springs not the coul and trailing arm version.
If I can get jus the front I can swap knuckles and steering from the gm 10 bolt or if i find a set, just the steering.
So you know you are looking / asking about a Ford / dvrs side drop axle right? The works with a dvrs side drop xfer case. IE NP-203 or NP-205. I thought that Chevy's and GM / (6.2 LT1 ?) were passenger side drop (axle and xfer case) unless I am way wrong. And I have been way wrong before. Unless you are doing a reclocking of the xfer case? Or doing a Atlas xfer case.
At least if you are looking for a 78/79 Ford Dana 44, should be WAY easier and cheaper.
And if you want to hunt a even more rare bird, look for a 78/79 4wd F150 (5 lug 1/2 ton) Super Cab, referred to as a (extended cab) now days. SUPER CAB ONLY. That is the ONLY way to get a F150 5 lug Dana 44 front axle, that has leaf spring perches from the factory.
I am unsure of the spline count on it. And but yes, swapping steering knuckles and all out is easy enough to get Ford 8 lug to a Ford 5 lug. But most of the time it goes the other way on swaps.
