I have a lead on a crapped out '03 Screw. I have read that around late '02 to early '03 Ford did the design change to eight thread heads on the 4.6/5.4...does anyone know via a TSB or dealer work when this change occurred?

My truck is an '01 Screw 5.4/70W
Thanks
‘03 was the change over
had one truck come in the shop had four thread head on one side and an eight thread head on the other
My Screw has some issue on No 4, I have yet to do a full diag but it skips when cranking if you listen close. Either No 4 is low compression or torched valve, both of which are odd for these mills. Looks to be about $400 OTD for the long block.
Either way thanks for the heads up...pun intended.
