My Ranch hand works great. Never any issues with the adaptive cruise. I don't have the front camera, but they do offer the bumper without the lower portion of the front screen to account for that.
I have a 2021 F450 King Ranch and would like to know if there is a Brush guard available that doesn't interfere with the cameras or the ACC system?
Steelcraft works with the front camera for the most part. Slight blind spots on sides. I'll be adding ACC and report if there are issues. I also plan to modify my grille guard for the camera to have a full view again.
Steelcraft does slightly interfere with the side view of the front camera. I plan to modify my guard to allow a full view.
Might look at Frontier, also made in Texas. Looks like a good option , not sure of all the particulars but worth looking at. I’m on the same search for my 2023 F350.
@scottz99 has a Ranch Hand Grill Guard on his truck that doesn't interfere with the front camera. Don't know if he has ACC on his truck. Maybe he'll see this and report on the ACC working with the Grill Guard.
All of them with a cutout for the camera will limit the available view when compared to not having anything on the front. All you need to see out front is the leading edge of your bumper so you can avoid hitting something. If you don't like the view, back in and use that camera instead. Here is what the view looks like out the front with a full replacement bumper...
Yes, I have ACC. I don’t usually use it but On my last trip to Wyoming, I used it quite a bit. I had no issues with it.
If you look carefully, you will the sensor that is mounted behind that screen just to right of the license plate in this head on view. I originally thought the screen would interfere with it but it works fine. I do think the screen over the fog lights cut the beam down a bit so I might end up taking the screen out of those spots. It could also be because the lights sit a bit further back and the side is blocked a bit by the bumper.
I have a 21 f250 King Ranch with the 360 view and went with a dealer-installed Ranch Hand with cut out for front camera. Works fine.
The Frontier factory is just down the road from me but their prices are higher and there was about a two week lead time for the appropriate model for my truck.
Will say I have been using Ranch Hand grill guards for about 30 years.
