What is mounted here updated
I have a 1990 F350 CC 4x4. The truck has been parked for 8-10 years , I am now bringing it back into service . I am installing a steering stabilizer ,trying to understand the instructions before realizing parts store ordered the wrong part looking at the front axle I noticed the plate under the axle housing that the 2 U bolts go through holding the leaf spring on, has a rather large hole that is part of that plate . Kinda looks like a stabilizer mounting point but I have not found information about it being a stock mounting point for that truck . So that's the question , anyone know what that is for ? Thanks

There was no stock mounting point for a steering stabilizer since the truck never came with one. My question is why are you installing a stabilizer? If the steering is loose and/or wandering that means something is wrong. There are worn parts. The alignment is off.
