Tuning a 96 with a 95

So my buddy is planning on buying a 1996 f350 with a 7.3 powerstroke. Problem is that the motor is from a 95 because the original 7.3 cracked the block. Were curious on if youd still be able to tune with a ob2 since its a 96 truck but werent sure because the 95 motor. Any help would be much appreciated. Thank you

No problems at all.

100% recommend valve job while engine out. They beat the crap out of the valves and seats. In addition to a complete reseal. Bellowed uppipes.
