Looking at 2024 order guide, it appears the only way to get navigation on a XLT is to get the premium pkg and that's connected service Nav.
Trying to save some coin, I'm not interested in the premium pkg or connected Nav.
Just sold my 2022 Super Duty with connected Nav. and I was not impressed with it (poor routing and GPS drop) Not worth the $89/yr I was paying.
My 2020 Super Duty regular Nav. was much more reliable. We travel a lot and use it often. Also I did not see any real advantage to the 12" screen in the 2022.
So my question is can you get regular Nav. on a XLT?
I did not get the navigation package on my 23 XLT because it is only good for 3 years and then you have to pay to update it again and again, I could by a Garmin GPS cheaper with lifetime maps. If you have an android phone you can use android auto that comes on sync to use waze on the truck screen. I have the smaller screen and the only problem that I have is the Ford idiots have android auto go full screen and you can't access anything else on the screen unless you cut the wifi on the phone which shuts down the android auto app. One nice thing about android auto is that you can reply to text messages by saying your reply and it converts your voice to text, vs the canned messages in sync.
The connected nav reverts to embedded offline nav when the subscription expires(3years). Embedded offline nav is what your 2020 had. It does require the premium pkg on XLT but you do not have to pay the subscription fee to still have navigation.

Go back to the list of apps in Android Auto on the screen in the truck (a couple of presses on the button in the bottom left corner) and hit the Ford icon. That takes you back to regular truck screen. You can press the Android Auto button on the bottom to go back to the AA interface. There's no need to disconnect anything.
I just wish I could have the Ford icon as one of the 4 buttons on the bottom in AA but unfortunately Google doesn't want to do that.
I just plug in my iPhone via USB and use either Google Maps or Apple Maps everything works great via your truck screen and you also have talk to text feature. No cost except maybe a USB cable.

Thanks for the info! I also updated AA settings on my phone to display waze on the bottom buttons. Thanks again.
