I’m planning on a new set of tires and wheels with tax money this year. I’ve got 15 inch rollers on it now and am either thinking 15s or 17s and dropping it a little later down the road. I’ve been playing around on the computer and I’m thinking black mags but can’t decide on the best size. I don’t to get too big or wide because of the steering.
I put new wheels on my coupe when I painted it a few years ago and just went with 15s like it had but I would not do it again . I had a flat 250 miles from home in a very large town ( car dealerships and multiple tire shops ) and no one it town had a compatible 15" tire as they simply aren't used much anymore . I would determine the size and check popularity before deciding on wheel size .I have 17s for my truck .
Not to highjack the thread, but I also have been toying with changing my 15” wheels to 16” or 17” (51 F1, 302, C4, 9” with TCI four link, stock steering with disk brake conversion). Anybody want to share an opinion on the pros/cons of upsizing my wheels?
