2001 Lariat. There are three bolts that hold shifting lever on right side of steering column. Can be seen by looking up at dash from floorboard. One fell out and I can't find info on replacement. Dealer has no info on part. What can I use to tighten lever? Can I just remove one of the other bolts and find a replacement? Thanks. Sorry if this sounds stupid...
You are talking about the T30 Torx screws that hold the shift lever to the shift tube right?
These?
They are the same bolts that hold the shift tube to the column
Laying on the floorboards of trucks at the junkyard when the shift tubes are removed
You can just use metric hex head bolts as replacements.
Thank you all!!!! That's it! I'm not close to a junkyard. Amazon has Torx Rexka T30 would that be the same? Set of 20? Sorry, kind of dumb about this.
What size metric hex bolt?
When I looked them up they came in all different sizes.
Thanks again.
