Had to re shuffle the deck.Hoping to retire this year. Sold the 69 econoline van, both 240s. Suppose to have the 66swb sold. Hoping to get the 92 parts truck hauled to the farm and the 79 hauled to my house. going to concentrate on the 86 and 79 f250 4x4s. Mom and a ederly uncle are going to need more of my time plus i hope to clean the farm up some and spend more time with my wife, hunting and metal detecting too. I will never get to all of the projects i have and wanted to find. Try to live life the best i can.
Yep, Good luck Dalton!
.
Guys, am looking for a radiator support for my current rebuild, the 67'. Got the engine and transmission ready to go in.Cab is all apart and insulated, going to add a/c for summer, YEAH!!
Still have some bits around the farm for trading.
Need a grill support from a V8 truck so that the air will work, Sure a 67-72 will work fine, not sure about later years, so that range would be best. Might take a whole unit if necessary.
Shoot me a pm is you can help me out with one, and
Hey Ben, me too! Just check in occasionally to see whats happening and look for parts.....
Needing a 67-72' radiator support right now. Project is coming along and looking better.
Adding A/C to this one and doing all the cosmetics on the inside of the cab only. Also renewing the power train and engine bay. It is a three on the tree and this 67' has lots of unique bits on it.
Maybe some other members will happen along and we can keep in contact and these old trucks in circulation for a while longer.
Not been able to get on here for a while. Econoline and 66 are gone. Put a new mechanical fuel pump on the 86, went bad in 10 min. filled crankcase with gas, judt got that back together. Bought a new tractor and bushhog, hope to retire soon and clean up the farm. Father-in-law in ICU, Mom is fragile, looks like lots of grass to mow. May HAVE to retire soon to keep up around here.
Hey Dalton, know how you feel, also have aging Mom, at her place now giving some assistance.Tough getting old; its our turn to care for them. Farming is busy in the Spring; gearing up to start in here too.Hope your tractor works out. Good luck getting to the retirement, Never been busier since mine! LOL
It seems like the Dalton gang has been knocked down a number of times in the last couple of years or so. I do hope things do get better.
Will anyone, besides me, be watching the solar eclipse?
Trying to get rid of my Isuzu pickup. Got a 90' F150 showing up in a couple of weeks.
Everyone stay safe.
ECLIPSE DAY ! Whooee, about 1;50 or so here. Will pause and view, got the glasses and planning to be in the field with the livestock; just to see how they react. How bout ya'll? Let's hear some stories afterward, eh?
It was specatacular. Tried to take some pics, but embarrassing bad. My daughter Shelly and hubby Tracey along with daughter Tracy and friend Murph were there to view it also. And I can't forget my better half Sherrie. Temps dropped about15 degrees, the wind died, and all the animals just seem to shutdown.
That's super, Ben! We also enjoyed this very rare occurrance. It became very still and quiet here. Touched me as being Biblical and introspective in fact. Something that I will think about with wonder and joy, amazement. Brought me closer to our Creator.
That ac would be nice. Just cannot seem to get projects off the ground. This blast of heat is not helping. Hoping to soon change out the crossmember, going back to original exhaust crossover pipe and service the transmission at the same time on the 93. Looking for a good slider back glass in my area (Northeast Arkansas). Hoping to retire soon, already planned to, just does not seem 100 percent clear yet. Did hold on and got a bonus at work so that worked my way. Working my way to putting a timing chain on the 86 460. Excessive heat caused one of the rotten tires to blow last week. Now i need to find a roller tire for it. Blew a power steering hose on the 530 case, luckily it was in the yard. No reason for it to blow, it was only56 years old. At least i have plenty to do. I am a blessed man.
