Hi,
I am ordering an Excursion and am trying to decide whether to get the DVD Entertainment System. I know it would be good on trips with the kids but the $1111 price tag has me. Any one with any experience with this system or comments ? I have received different stories from dealers on how it operates. Specifically if you can tune the dash radio to a specific AM/FM frequency and receive the audio output so it can go thru the stereo system and not just thru the wired headphones ? Any input on specifics and capabilities would be appreciated.
Thank You
I have a 2002 with the DVD/CD player. They mounted the player on the roof, above and slightly behind the passenger seat, moved the rear heat and air controls over to the other side and the screen in the middle. The radio can be split so that you can listen to the DVD/CD player in the back on earphones (the rear speakers cut out) and the front can listen to anything else. Or you can listen to the DVD on all speakers. System works nice.
