I've been looking at gauges for a while & finally found the gauge option I wanted. Got everything installed in my instrument panel & really like the look:
They're marine gauges from a company called Faria Beede. I painted a few details on my factory spedo & think they match pretty well! Price was good (~$250), but no senders were included. I managed to track down the part numbers for oil pressure & temperature senders for about $40 each. Found out fuel gauge is 240-33 ohms, so I will find a universal sending unit from Summit. I wired everything into a 12 pin deutsch connector, so the cluster will remove easily if needed:
I know it looks kinda messy, but I'm still waiting on a few LED bulbs to install. After that, I'll tie up the wiring a little neater. I might have to swap out the tach, as the adjustment pot on the back only has settings for up to a 6 cylinder motor. The item description said the set worked with most marine engines, so I assumed it would be V8 compatible. (There's a TON of boats out there equipped with Mercruiser V8's) Hopefully, if this one won't work, they have one that will, & I can resell mine & the spedo that came with it and recoup most of my $$$.
The 2" gauges are kind of a tight fit & it took a lot of delicate work with the dremel to get the holes cut out. Overall, these were the closest match I could find to the factory spedo. I wanted to keep it, as it is still working. AutoMeter Ultralight is close too, but they're triple the price. I've purchased several AutoMeter gauges over the years & the quality doesn't seem much different.
Trying to troubleshoot the tach hookup now - it's completely dead. I have a universal Painless wiring harness & ProForm HEI distributor. Tach is wired into power, ground, and the signal lead of the wiring harness. How would I verify the signal from the tach is good to start with?

Figured it out; was just a bad connection on my deutsch connector.
