Outside rear view mirror gaskets
I just bought a really nice set of outside rear view mirrors for my '69 F100 Ranger. They are the "car mirror" option; the smaller ones. They are used, so the guy didn't have the gaskets to go with them. Anyone have any suggestions as to where I could get a set of gaskets and screws? I looked in *** and they don't have the gaskets separately. I also did a search here to no avail.

You can buy stainless steel sheet metal screws from Home Depot. The OEM gasket is usually hard plastic. It helps spread the load from the mirror over the door panel so it does not dent in and so there is no metal to metal rubbing. Myself, I would go the used truck inner tube route as mentioned earlier with a slight coat of silicon between the rubber and door. Or any thin plastic.

Thanks folks...I appreciate the suggestions! I never thought about using gasket material or an inner tube...great idea! If Larry doesn't still have the gaskets, I'll try these suggestions.
