Hi, new to this forum. I just picked up my 2024 SD XLT with sport package,FX 4 package, premium XLT package. For some reason it has sport decals instead of FX4 decals.. is this normal? I did check my build sheet and it definitely has the FX4 package. Also has skid plates so I think maybe someone messed up. Salesman said the if you order sport package and FX4 package you get sport decals. Any info would be appreciated.
First off Welcome Mikdor This is usually a good place to come for Answers, Ignore some of the smart A$$ answers, Ltngdrvr most likely got it right ( looks like sport trumps FX4 )
You can pull the sport decal off and put on some FX4 stickers. I got rid of the stickers on mine as soon as possible. Hit them with a hairdryer or heat gun and they come right off.
I wish they would let you choose the color of decal they put on if they don't let you just leave it off altogether. It was cool for the GM guys in the 90s with their Z71s but some people just want a trim-less sticker-less truck or at least a decal color that better accents their exterior color choice.
Thanks guys, not a fan of the stickers either. Have to peel them off. Just wondering if heat will affect the new paint.🙂
I think I saw this same question on a FB post this morning? Anyway, heat should not be a problem as people have been de-badging trucks this way for years. However the quicker you do it the better. If it was just delivered to the dealer, you may not need a heat gun at all and they may pull off easily with no residue.
I took my 4x4 decals off the first week. They peeled right off. The longer you wait the more difficult they are to get off. I had a tiny bit of residue.
