Hi All
Have read a lot and watched some videos but this seems different. Maybe not. Own a 2017 350 Platinum diesel. love the truck.
Drivers side heat and AC does work and I hear the click on the setting when I press button but the heat and the cool is very low compared to the passenger seat side. I have no obstructions under the seat. Maybe the module under the passenger seat that controls both?
I have seen where some burn out and shut off or no heat at all but I do get heat.
Any ideas?
Thanks
It's the heat unit in the back of the seat. Common in these Fords. Videos out there on it. I changed mine and that fixed it. When one goes in the seat like the back unit the seat doesn't work. Ac works in it. If it is weak then it is going real soon. Easy to open the back and change the unit. Unit is about $129 If I remember. My local Ford dealer just changed one out as well. I had to help them as they brought the zippers. Use plenty of lub on and around the zipper becasue the tang holding the teeth feed thru the bottom of the glide unlike normal zippers with the tang coming out the sides. Being it feeds thru a channel to come out the bottom of the glide there is a lot of friction. Alot of silicone on the teeth and tang is key. Best to pop the seat out into a warm area and easier to work on.
