Talking New Toy

Just bought a 97 XLT Expy. Real nice truck but it only has the 4.6. It's white w/tan leather. Only paid 8k for it w/100k miles. The interior and exterior is mint. I hope I got a good deal on it. Already did cat back duals with a 40 flowmaster. Any little tricks out there to wake her up a little. Tranny feels sluggish may need a rebuild but I'm use to a C-6 in my F-250. But it rides so nice compaired to my truck Any good tune up ideas for a truck with 100k on it. Thanks, Dan

If it were mine I replace the air filter, fuel filter, spark plugs, PCV valve and flush/fill the transmission.

IMO, the definite must-have modification is a shift kit. I've got a Transgo - it's the single best addon I've ever done to any vehicle.

Thanks Matt, I will check in to the shift kit. Any certain type of air filter. Seems everyone is using something different. I'm a carb. guy not use to the F.I. stuff. Dan
