VIN decode/front axle info
I could use some help decoding my vin to find my front differential Information.
2005 F150 XL 4.6l V8 with 4x4
Vin - 1FTRX14W95KC83193
# at bottom of driver door sticker - 4U5A-1532-AA(TLU)

@NumberDummy hasn't logged on for a while now. Even his books didn't go to 2005. Mine don't either. This forum is for 1961-1966 trucks. You might see if your fellow era truck owners can help at the below forum section for 2004-2008 F150s.

For the 17 digit VIN, you can decode those through several on-line decoders such as:

You can go through that but it's quite tedious and after all that you will not have the front axle info as it is not included in the VIN.
It is listed on your white plastic certification label where the axle codes are towards the bottom right side.
Your axle should also have a tag on it, affixed via one of the bolts holding the cover on.
And since you are now in this forum, someone familiar with these might be by with the answer.

The diff is going out on the driver's side with play/slop and I'm trying to figure out Wich one I need so i can start pricing used and/or know what rebuild kit to get.
