6.2 Intake manifold availability (Knock)
I have a 2017 F250 with the 6.2. As it seems to happen to all 17 and 18s the runners in the intake manifold are making noise. Sounds like a motor knock. I have been threw all the testing recommended and paid the local dealer for nothing and the intake manifold needs replacing. Problem is there are no new intake manifolds anywhere for it. The dealer looks at me like im crazy because my truck is broken and there are no parts available from Ford and no idea when or if the manifold will be available. I have even contacted Ford directly and evem though the lady was very nice she had no answer either. I have tried to find out if Ford has a service bulletin on any bandaid so the truck can be driven without the fear of a part breaking off and entering the motor. Nothing. Anyone out there got any advice? I've owned Ford trucks for over 40 years and this one has me thinking its time for a Dodge or GM.
