I have a 2023 F-150 with roughly 1,300 miles. Still very new.
I noticed that the Start/Stop feature was working intermittently. Today it occurred to me that it works when the heater/defrost fan is off and does not work when the fan is turned on.
I tested this several time and that is what is happening.
This makes no sense to me. Any advice?
85e150, thanks for that link. I wish Ford still provided book manual rather than only the online version. I might have caught that condition that shuts the feature off.
That said, I remain puzzled as to why the Start/Stop would shut off when the defroster fan was on.
The people who programmed the system thought defrost was more important than the tiny fuel savings the AS/S delivers in most circumstances. I think they were right.

Hi there. Feel free to send us a DM with your vehicle's VIN and mileage. We'd be happy to look into this for you.
Also if its cold or hot out and you have the heat or AC on the engine may not turn off in order to be able to run the heat/ac. Im assuming same with defrost.
