Folks, is this right? I know I am a total ignoramus, but does panel a go over panel b or under it? This is the back of the tub. I'm guessing I have it around the wrong way and there needs to be a gap between a and b for the wood?
hope you can help
On an aside note, the Mar-K tub I had ordered 9 months ago finally arrived. I was totally blown away by the whole package, The care these guys have taken to ensure the parts arrived at my doorstep, travelling a distance of over 8600 miles!
Each piece was packed in its own wooden framework, and the whole thing arrived on its own pallet!
Oh, man...It did! $4100 delivered.
I had an opportunity of picking one up a while back for a bit over a grand but it was pretty rough, and missed out on the deal.
At least it is rust free and super straight. Gotta love that
The more you get your hands on this bed kit the more you will like it. The anodized metal will not readlly rust and the spot welds are flush. Fit and finish are far better than the Ford factory ever produced. Dimensions are right on the money. I have seen a lot of crap in the aftermarket but I have never seen a better bed kit than Mar-K...this is money well spent. Good luck...

I honestly thought it would have been a lot more !
Did you get the bed wood with the kit ?
Great looking packaging . It's nice to see a company worry about how their stuff arrives not just how it's made . The $4100 , as I have mentioned on other things , may seem pricey but if you are paying someone to do bodywork it would quickly add up .

And with bed sides it's hard to make both sides look good on a used banged up bed.
Yeah, totally agree. I think this bed is a very high quality item, and testament to that is that I could assemble it myself in next to no time and everything lined up just the way it should. I was expecting it to be misaligned etc as you do these days from aftermarket stuff, but this tub is top shelf grade A. I had planned on buying a tub from a guy down the road in South Australia, but he retired, and I have a mate who was thinking of taking them on as an aside job, but I don't think anyone could have made this cheaper or better locally. Just waiting for my other mate to return the tailgate he was playing around with. Last time I left it for him (he wanted to tackle it as a project) it was looking decidedly scary.
I've already got it almost perfect. Makes me want to keep going on the project now.

Spot on, Charlie. I was super impressed by everything about the deal. The welding on this thing is high quality. Just a pity the rest of the truck looks like it has gone a few rounds with Mike Tyson.
I have a Mar-K tub on my 56 , and yes quality is excellent .
I am yet to see an Australian repro tub with the correct full roll on the top of the side panels .
No one seems to be able to do it .
