I don't know whether it is this site, Google Chrome, or whatever; but, I type my messages exactly like I mean them to read, carefully preview them --- and correct the auto-correct changes --- submit them --- and then when I read them again, there are the same mistakes I had already changed.
I just now was reading something I posted where a few spellings had been changed --- specifically, "rear-end is" had been changed to "read-end it" and "rear-end" in another sentence had also been changed to "read-end"; I had to edit the post TWICE before my corrections would stay as I had typed them --- who knows, they may have changed again.
I thought I had all possible auto-correctors disabled.
Am I the only one with this problem ?
This bit added after the fact = I most definitely am not using any sort of phone = don't have one and wouldn't know how if I did.
I never thought, but I guess I should have specified = I only ever use my desktop/tower machine with a keyboard and mouse.
you are posting from a phone, rite?
if so, you need to re read and correct their idea of what you want to say two or three times before it will let what you typed stay.
FTE does not have an autocorrect feature.
FTE does have a spell check that highlights spelling errors in RED...but...you have to manually make the correction. You can still post the incorrrectly spelled word the way you want to. Note...I spelled incorrectly on purpose there. I am not aware of any auto correct.
I agree that with the sometimes too frequent misspellings seen on any internet page FTE does NOT have any sort of auto-correct spelling or grammar checking!
The weird part of all of it is people who enter News and stuff articles are full of mistakes. there is no Editorial work done as it seems. maybe Ai will run stuff correctly. ....Haha.....
Just shut off auto correct and let our fun type itself out as you wish it to go, then you can select if you want it perfect of full of mistakes. ......
