Build sheet de-code

F100 = F100 4x2 except State of PA.
M81
M = Beige woven plastic and beige vinyl with foam cushion
81 = pickup, but I can't determine much else such as regular or Custom Cab
A = New Process model 435 four speed transmission
17 = Ford (9 inch) rear axle, 3,300 lbs capacity, 3.25 ratio (Open diff, as the Dana 44 was the limited slip IIRC)
No front axle code, so standard Ford axle.
5000 = 5,000 lbs GVWR
172 4000 = 172 Certified Net HP @ 4,000 RPM
548317
54 = Omaha District Sales Office
8317 = Special Order Number, see above regarding the "no info" sittuation...
Also wondering about the "Goodrich Tires All Purpose Rear" at the bottom of the build sheet. Wonder if they put different brand front/rear tires on. Two of my original lock ring wheels still have BF Goodrich tires still on them!
So what is the small, shiny metal tag that's not attached to the card?
Also, it appears that all the info above is just from the door tag. Do the build sheet codes give any more detail? Can anyone help me decipher those codes?

Camper Special was a Regular Production Order (RPO) item even in 1964 - a year some people say they didn't make any. So that wouldn't have been a special order item. I'd suspect the tires were the special order item since I've seen similar. Here's my build sheet for one of my 4x4 trucks along with pics of one of the tires which is a GoodYear Hi-Miler (HM) Xtra-Grip - second set of tires at the bottom of the build sheet. Nothing else that I can figure was special ordered. Your truck was built on March 14, 1966. The ROT or Rotation number in the upper left corner is blurred but that number was typically written on various parts of the vehicle. In my case it is a 0152 for this vehicle. That's how they tracked the vehicle during the factory build.

Top of gas tank

Rear of bed underneath a factory reflector

There were others like top of dash bezel but I'd have to dig for the pictures.
