No 5th wheel or gooseneck. I think the first cover on the 2001 was a manual pace edwards. Only lasted 18 yrs. 
Just prefer a panel type now. Won't be a bak or their other brands. FWIW the Diamondback Switchback will work with some bed mount trailers.

I've always used low profile soft roll covers on past trucks.
Except on my previous Titan XD I decided to go with a RetraxPro XR aluminum roll cover. It was nice, but I wasn't a fan of losing space in the front of the bed.
On my 350 I went with a TruXedo Pro X15 soft roll cover and I really like it.

I had a Retrax Powertrax Pro MX on my 2017 and installed a new one on my 2023. The one with Aluminum slats.
Best cover out there imo, plus the powertrax model will lock into any position. Opens/ closes with a remote.

I am very happy with my Peragon. I went with the Ultimate model to get the double locking deadbolts.

Does anyone know how much, if any, the F250 Super Duty short bed deminsions, side to side and front to rear have changed? Will a bed cover for a 2018 short bed fit a 2023 / 2024 short bed? Many mfr's application data is dated. thnx

I had the BAK MX4 which worked well on my 2020 long bed. The I switched to a Retrax Pro, which I hated, on my 2022 F350 dually. Then I went back to a MX4 on my 2022 F450. Soon my 2024 F350 SB arrives and it's MX4 hands down for me.

Search for a price for your particular application. About $1200 folding, double that for a slider. Retrax Pro MX was way to expensive, not to mention that large canister in the bed. To each his/her own. Lots of people love the Retrax Pro. I had one and swore never again. Bak MX4 forever for me. just my $.02
