Technical documents
I ordered the Ford Truck shop manual from 1961/1963 paper version (delivery at the beginning of January normally, ordered on Amazon but it must leave the United States I think), do you know if there are other booklets or documents techniques that are important to have?
There are so many Clymers gave me the max timing chain 'slack' measurement, where Hayne's did not or I couldn't find it.
Mitchell manuals can be found in most shops still open from the '40's.
I like the analog (printed on paper) manuals, but i'm from the '50's.
Seems like we gather helpful information from each source or reference.
An example would be the Troubleshooting section. We gather info from each manual or from internet interest forums such as Ford-Trucks.com.
I'll share an interesting story of Valve Tappet Noise Fix for a 1995 Honda Passport (Isuzu built) 3.2L V-6 engine.
I had purchased the Passport around 2008, to do a transmission swap then hand-off to my son for a daily driver.
The previous owner had burned up the transmission input gear set running it on no oil, manual 5-speed.
Owner had fired up the engine, and the trans made so much noise, I couldn't hear the valve tappets hammering away.
I digested Forum thread after forum thread where the guys discussed which oil would silence the tapped noise.
Before disassembly of the Isuzu all aluminum engine, I physically checked tappet clearance (hyd tappets in the end of the rocker arm.
The dinky tappets are the size of a cigarette-butt. Damnedest things i've ever seen. Some Subaru's use the cigarette-butt hyd lifters tool
Ok, on the heel of the cam lobe, and the hyd tappet fully extended, I measured 0.045-inches Clearance tappet to valve !!!
Upon removal of the single overhead cam and rocker arms, it was discovered that the exhaust rocker shaft was worn the 0.045-inch depth.
I ordered new DNJ exhaust rocker arms and exh rocker shafts. All lifters were good even after the beating of the 0l045-inch tappet gap.
Interestingly, I found no reference to this cure, which makes me wonder how many quarts of oil were sold to fella's trying to silence the noisy tappets.

Have fun gathering references !
