That's funny. Yes, the stuff I bought was Sta-Lube 85-90 GL4 from Napa and it said it was synchro safe. I use Sta-Lube in my Jeeps and it works great. Just this one particular instance the "expensive snake cult oil" worked better. To be honest, the Sta-Lube wasn't exactly cheap. I think if was 60 and some bucks for a gallon jug. I think dropping to the low end viscosity number from 85 to 75 may have helped.
We have a shop locally that stocks Amsoil at the going price so it's not a big deal for me to buy it.
