I just purchased a 1997 f350 crew cab 460 auto. Drivers door switch will not turn on dome lights or key chime. All the other three doors work correctly. I pulled the pin and it has three wires. None of the wires are providing power. All fuses are good. I pulled the kick panel just to make sure no hidden damage or splices were hiding. Any thoughts?
Been doing some research I have found that there is often a factory place under the driver's door seal or kick panel area that even though it's factory and looks good for the outside often is shorted internal. That's where I'm going to start digging I guess

Pulled the working passenger front and it has two wires which one has power. Drivers door switch has three wires instead of two. Assumed one of the three was possibly power.
does your 1997 have keyless entry? Here is the diagram without keyless entry. its similar for keyless but it is different. I can send that one if you have it. My bad, I was wrong. That lime green wire should be carrying power to that switch so you must have a wire failure to the switch itself. id imagine the wiring is not hard to trace back a ways, see if you have a broken wire somewhere.

Follow up. I found and fixed my issue. It was the factory splice under drivers door sill trim around the area where the sill plate and lower A pillar meet.
Pull sill plate, lower A pillar, clean all the crud out so you can work. I unhooked wires at pin switch and loosened hood release along with harness push mounts so you can gain a little wire length for splice. Remove tape to locate splice, resplice and seal as best as possible, (I used heat shrink but connector and tape)
Only problem I still have is no warning buzzer when headlights left on when key out and door open.
