2003 Navigator Power steering lines
I guess all the metal lines in this thing are starting to fail at the same time - I JUST replaced all my brake lines and NOW I have a leak in one of the POWER STEERING lines...
I was curious which is was - I see where it's leaking, ithere are 2 lines close on the passenger side, the one to the right of the pair - maybe going to the cooler? the one that crosses the crankshaft (in front) is the one that is leaking not sure if that is the pressure line or the return line? - it's in the metal - guess I should have taken a photo...
If anyone had a diagraham and advice on bleeding the system after, etc... that would be helpful - I was gonna try and tackle this one myself... I hope the fittings at the gear box are ok? - any issues with getting to the fittings? -
I figure I would just do all of these now as new...
Last question - is Merc V what I should use? or did the 2003 call for something different? I don't want to ruin the pump, etc.
of course it had to happen now when it's 30 outside lol
Thanks all!
