I have a 1979 f-150 and it currently has 33 x 12.50R15 tires and when I turn the wheel all the way the tires run against the inside of the truck and it shakes like crazy. I just bought wrangler tires 31 x 10.50 R15 and want to make sure they are the right ones that won’t shake my truck.
So if it is a STOCK suspension truck that is 2wd or even 4wd I believe the 33x12.50's are a little wide. And the shaking is probably the inner tread rubbing on the radius arms when you are at or near full steering lock left or right. Now if you want to run the tires you have (and they clear the fender lip), just adjust you steering stops (on the steering knuckles) to prevent the rubbing.
Another issue could be because the rims you have have a large amount of back spacing/positive off set. So if you are going to reuse the current rims you might want to double check that before you go thru the complete tire change over. Take one front tire off and and get the 31 put on it and then mount it back to the truck and do a steering clearance check.
