So recently, the shop where I keep my truck parked at had a trailer stolen from it. I keep the hydra set on no start when it’s parked there, but it wouldn’t take a rocket scientist to hit buttons on the hydra and get it to start.
So with that said, can I set the hydra to no start, unplug the box and keep said box with me? Or will that screw something up with the pcm? Essentially, I’m looking to make it so that thieves would be unable to switch out of the no start tune. I also plan on pulling a couple of fuses and relays for extra protection.
What Eric said. Stuff the wire and kind of hide it also so no would be theifs see it. Most stealing a 7.3 would know you just pull the chip out if they seen one. Also remember you have to cycle key to get it to go in no start mode. Which I'm sure you know.
Sounds good, I figured it would work with no issue, just wanted to double-check. There are multiple 6.7s in/around the shop so I would think they'd go for those, but who knows.
