1980 C8000
New to the forum and looking for help decoding my vin#. I'm in the process of refurbishing a 1980 C8000 fire engine with a CAT motor in it and I'm Curious if I can get some help with the VIN# D80UVHJ9038? Thank You in Advance for any info

D80 = C800 diesel (Badged and referred to as "C8000")
U = Cat 3208N OR 3208T 636 CID V8 diesel
V = Kentucky Truck Plant
HJ9038 = 1980 model year numerical series.
Axle, transmission and other info are on your certification label. That's a white plastic label glued to the door face below the latch, if it's still there......
