I have recently purchased a 2000 7.3 F250 Diesel. The truck has the 8ft Long Bed. I was wondering what size wood fits in the bed's stake pockets ? 2x4's seem like they would be too big and 2x2's seem like they would be too small. Has anyone made wood bedsides via placing wood in the stake pockets and then building the sides from there ? I want to make a completely enclosed bed for transporting Goats, Ducks and Chickens for the farm. The prefab cages right now for sale cost more than what I paid for the truck lol. I will include a screenshot of something along the lines of what I am asking (the truck in the image I found isnt a ford it looks a GMC or Chevorlet.
