Story
Am writing for DH who is not here)
302/5L XLT, EFI, second owner, Bought '89 and taken care of like a child. 150,000+ miles
On way to the coast..Towing, lose power, start blowing smoke, some oil on passenger side, and small exaust leak on same side. Barely make it home. We've gone through lots of spark plug wires due to excessive heat from Hedders/ new exaust put on 3 years ago. Also we have an upgrade computer.
Replaced all wires, still runs like very rough. Took it to mechanic he says that there is no compression in #8, now 8 is on drivers side and the oil and exaust are on passenger side.. Will check compression ourselves tomorrow.
The car will drive at street speeds, it just sounds really bad. and we can't trust it more than a few blocks from home.
Any ideas.....
