When I get home at last, I'll have full access to print facilities and have a printer/scanner setup available to check how images reproduce on HTGP (Honest To God paper).
- That's an important step in the proofing process. Nothing is finished until you've got a galley proof.
I can play with graphics all day, but if the scaling is off I won't know it until it's physically on the desk in front of me.
I am still having trouble with the monster printer. It has decided not to print anything now, and the warranty company is hoping we just go away. We have a lemon printer, that has never worked properly.. I wish it would; it is supposed to be able to print 12 double sided full color pages per minute, which would be so cool. It now prints the test page every time it starts, and nothing else, which is after it was mended from not booting up. They made the thing so complex, nobody knows how to fix it.
It looks like we wasted the $3600 buying the darn thing.
I wonder if I really want to get involved in that...
The worst part of being a tech is that I'm in so deep I doubt I can avoid it, out of shear interest...
On the day I come to your house and get introduced to this monstrousity - when I no longer speak english just walk away and ignore me. It's a technical thing....
