So I've done some research but I'm coming up with different sizes online. I found a camper shell that measures 99" x 73". I have '71 F100 long bed, which measures out to that, but its hard to tell what would be an exact fit. I've seen 100" x 72", 100" x 73", 99" x 72", etc. Do you have any suggestions on the correct camper shell size for a '71 f100 long bed? Thanks!
It depends on several things, type of construction, straight or angle back window and how the bottom weatherstripping fits, and lastly, HOW YOU WANT IT TO LOOK. Measure from the edge of the bed turn down, and where you want it to sit. Measure from the edge of the tailgate to the edge of the front of the bed. It is all up to you where you want it to fit. Can you live with bedside hang over? It depends.
Nope, they are made to fit a wide assortment of trucks especially since yours is 50+ years old. Just measure and get what you like best. I had an aluminum one that originally came off a 75 that I put on my 72. When I sold my 72, dad put it on his 77, and then his 94.
