Air Intake Mods?
I've been away for awhile and it's nice to see all of the great help us Ford Enthusiasts are giving one another.
I have a question,
IMO, The stock air intake system is crap! It doesn't seem to provide the air needed for the engine to turn out the wanted HP.
Now, I have a 92 F50 XLT 7.3L IDI N/A
Does anyone now of or has anyone done a mod with the air intake system (like changing the plenum, ect.)
I would really appriciate any options to consider.
Thanks All
Dubra
It's OK, but when I turbo the motor I remove the piece of hood insulation over the opening in the plenum. I also remove the rubber seal on the drivers side that seals between the grill and the core support, it lets more air get to the duct than can squeeze through the hood crack (which can be pretty bad with a bug shield).
