so i got these cheap flowtechs from autozone because i'm a tightwad and they don't work. drivers side went on in 30 minutes, have been working on passenger side for 3 days.
never seen anything like it. the tubes go both sides of the engine mount (2 in front 2 behind ) is this normal ?? also had to bend in about 4 places to get the engine bolted back down then 2 tubes pulled out of the collector. drove it to the muffler shop where they laughed at me and said there was no way this was the right header whats goin on ?? anyone else have these problems ??
headers mis-boxed ??

i got those from autozone as well for my 66 and the only thing i had to do was ding one tube in slightly for the starter stud
i did however have the passenger side inner and outer fender off at the same time, and i remember thinking that i was screwed when i came time to take them off
As for oil pump drive. NO.
You might be able to "drop" it thru, but the chance you will actually make it into the pump is SLIM to NONE. Plus, if you ever want to pull dist, it will come up with it and drop into pan and you will be in deep do-do.
Sorry, you need to drop pan and install it correctly.
