97 SC Gauge Cluster
Hi All,
This will probably be an easy question for all those with vast knowledge. I have a 97 F150 XL Super Cab and most of the Guage cluster bulbs are out. This model does not come with a tachometer. Question: Can I replace the cluster with one from a 97-03 XLT or Lariat so that I will have a tach? Is there anything else I would need to do or would it just drop in and work? Also, I am leaning toward LED Bulbs in the new cluster, is that a good idea? Thanks for all your assistance.

I think you can, but I've never done it.

I saw a few others that say that 1997-1998 it is possible, but 1999+ is more complicated.
If it were me, I'd go get a cluster out of something 1997 for cheap at a self-service yard and try it.
