If they kept the owner's manual, there should be a business-size card with the code on it. For whatever reason, it seems that everyone throws this away. I have bought very few used vehicles that had one.
If you don't have that card, I know the dealer can pull it based on the VIN. There IS a procedure to change it IIRC, so if it's been changed they may need to do a reset on it.
Well you really need two keys anyhow, so I'd start by getting the dealer to cut/program a new key. Then you've killed two birds with one stone. You can easily get the door pad code, and you've got a spare key.

I think it may also be found with FORScan. And even if someone has changed the code to something more convenient for them the original code should still work.
And if you get the second key cut, you can use those two to program a third key that can be bought cheaply on eBay. I've never felt comfortable with less than 3 keys to my Fords.
On my f150 I could see it in the dash cluster. Not sure if I can on my 22 f250, but I'd think you could.
On my '13 F-150 and '19 F-250 it was the same way. Put in first key, turn ignition on then off, immediately put in second key, turn ignition on and it'll show the factory code on the screen.
Used to be with owners manual but a 22 probably doesn’t have one in book form. Pull the cover door on the passenger kick panel fuse box. There’s a spot for the card there that has the code at least on previous years.

'22s DID come with a paper owner's manual, at least the ones without the big screen did (FIL had one). His '23 does not have a FULL owner's manual but it does still have the 'auxiliary' manuals in the little folder in the glove box.

My '22 has (well, had) a label on the driver's door frame (forward, by the hinges) with the original code. Not sure if that's factory, or my dealer did that, or failed to remove it during PDI, or what. I relocated the sticker elsewhere.

I was out of town today when I sent my original suggestion. I wondered all day if that was right or if I remembered that from another vehicle and kinda expected someone to call me crazy. So when I got home tonight I looked in the passenger kick panel fuse box and sure enough there that sucker is! The original securicode card I assume.

That's Interesting, I'm pretty sure the code is in the same location in my '19, but it's not the card, instead it's on a label/sticker. That code card is with my OM if I am remembering correctly. I wonder what year they started placing the card there.
