shifting problem continues

hi all well i took my 86 bronco II to the tranmission shop and they diagnosed a wireing problem, I already knew that. They agree the shift motor appears to be working fine when an out side power source is conected to it. They said it was a wire problem in a conection just below the brake power booster. My wiring diagram shows the connection they speak of go to the transmission and the second conector feed inside to the fuse panel.

The problem is after sitting most of the summer, the four wheel drive doesnt work. I have checked your archives and no help.
The wiring diagram I have doesnt help with locating certain modules. My wiring diagram shows the wires going from the tranferr case through the floor, but from there i have no indication on where it goes. forget colour coding one side of a conecctor has one colour while the other is totally different.
There is no power geting to the over head touch pad . there is no power getting to the shift motor.
The tranny shop said if i replace the connector below the brake power booster, that it would solve the problem, but they wont take the time to do it, they want me to do it and then bring it back in.
Iam open to suggestions, I have tried introducing a power source at the touch pad but still no power gets to the shift motor.
if any one knows any thing about the wire trail, please let me know.
thanks

I have a 87 Bronco II, My power shift module is under a plate ontop of the dash beside the right speaker.
Another thing you might want ot look at is the limmits in the shift motor. they tell the shift module were the tras. case is, 4 high, 4 low or 2 high. Unless the module knows it will not even try to shift.

Good luck.
