Issue draining the block
02 f350 4x4 250,000 miles
I am doing injector cups and have run into a strange situation. I pulled the block plug and drained the drivers side. Next I disconnected the starter a pulled passenger side plug. Nothing came out. There is NO hole behind the plug, just solid metal. Is this a factory defect, or is this normal.
Also what do I do next. Can I change out the cups? Will that flood the cylinder with coolant? Do I just scratch my head? I am not able to attach pictures but it is just straight metal not sludge ect

There should be a hole might be clogged with trash, have you picked it with a pic/screw driver?
If you drained the radiator there shouldn't be any coolant in the heads, residual? Yes, but nothing to worry about, once you install cups and installed injectors, remove glow plugs and turn engine by hand to blow out any residual oil, coolant and fuel.
