I had these cvodes originally and replaced all plugs, boots, wires & resistors. Code reappeared.
Just now with cold engine, I started truck and was inspecting the engine just trying to figure out the misfire.
Then I heard and saw an arc/misfire. I saw it several times. It appeared to be at the #1 cyl fuel injector plug. It was arcing across to fuel rail. It was hard to pinpoint exactly where it was originating, but I could definitely hear the "popping" noise and actually see the blue arc, multiple times. As the engine warmed, the arcing slowed, then eventually stopped. I will let the engine cool for a few hours then go back out to see if I can isolate it exactly. Has anyone had this before? I'm not sure if it is a bad connection with the wires going into the connector or the actual connector itself. this gives me hope, that now I for sure will not be chasing an unknow misfire. I definitely saw and heard it on #1 fuel injector. Any ideas of how to further troubleshoot/repair this?
are talking about misting in the area where I saw the Arc? What specifically am I looking for?
Mike
mist all spark plug wires especially were it gets near any metal, you are looking for the arcs you saw on #1. This will make it very apparent were your wires are arcing and you can remove and replace those wires that have compromised insulation. It helps to be in a little darker area, maybe cut some lights out.

got it, i just replaced all wires with motorcraft wires and resistors and boots. The arcing occured near the #1 injector, it was definitely below the COP. It wasn't a plug wire. Appeared to be coming from the fuel injector wire near the FI connector
Ah okay, so you're saying the injector plug is arcing? if so maybe some dielectric grease in the plug if that is in fact were it's arcing.
that is what I was thinking, was dielectric grease on the connector and where the wires go into the connector. Wasn't sure if I could use di-electric grease on these connectors

That's odd. AFAIK most fuel injectors should be pulled with 12 volts only, which obviously isn't enough to bridge any meaningful gap.
Did you replace the coils as well? I wonder if you have a bad coil that may be inducing a voltage spike back through the harness?
If these injectors are piezoelectric, that can be a source of the arc. I am not sure if the 6.2 uses piezoelectric injectors, but if it does, each injector will have a high voltage driver inside to distort the piezo plates.
Or, epiphany #2, you're getting an induced high voltage arc from back emf in the injector solenoid coil. I've attached a pic showing what I mean.
It seems like your insulation around the injector is faulty, so the fix is probably to replace the entire injector.
Again, an o-scope will make this a certainty so you're not throwing parts at it.
Curious about what you find. I had a P0300 code earlier today . 56k 2017 6.2 Lariat. Auto store read and cleared code. Went to Ford dealer in Mansfield pa and they found nothing.

Best place to get OEM coils?
I use rockauto. They have Motorcraft parts. I'll certainly post on here the findings.

I looked and options ranged from 20 bucks to 70? What are recommended. I just video my truck this morning and found arcing from drivers side boot closest to the radiator arcing to the thermostat housing.
