I run a small landscaping business and I’m thinking about getting an F250. I won’t be towing a trailer because I and going to be putting my mowers in the back. I will also be using it as my daily driver. I am a senior in highschool and about to leave for college but I will continue to run my business from college. I also have loved the look of a F250 for years now and it has been my dream truck for ever. Is it a bad idea to get a f250 or should I go with an f150 because of the better gas mileage and lower repair cost. The F250 im looking at is a 6.2L v8 gasser with 88k miles on it. Any advice will help
I think an F-150 would work well for you, unless your equipment weighs more than roughly 1000 pounds. Cost of ownership will be lower, plus it will ride more comfortably.

that is true, but it has always been my dream to own an F250 do you think it will hurt me that bad to own one?
The F-150 might make more sense, but if you got the urge, and it's been what you've wanted "forever", if you get the F-150, you will likely have regrets forever. If you can afford the F-250, and you're okay with it otherwise, I would say go for it. I don't think it would be a bad idea at all. Get what you want, and enjoy it!
Oh you made my back hurt reading your post. Throwing a mower and yard equip up into the bed 4-5 times a day? Get a trailer. You didn't mention what generation of F250 your looking at, an older one (affordable) or a newer (expensive) truck..also the registration and insurance will be higher on a F250 then a F150. You also didn't specify gas or diesel..I'm a diesel guy so kinda biased that way.

I would suggest that for an around-town operation, trailer or no, I'd stay away from a diesel. Lots of short trips aren't good for a diesel, especially the newer ones, and with the cost of fuel you wouldn't want to let it sit and idle.
But you're right, tossing a mower and yard equipment into the bed of a truck over and over, or even using a set of ramps that you need to load/unload every time...it would be easier on the kid's body to get a trailer. There are a LOT of things I did when I was younger that are coming back to haunt me now, and I wish I'd been a little smarter when I was younger.

f250 all the way, sure it’s a lil more expensive, but just take care of her good maintenance and it’ll run for a long time. If you can afford it go for it only live once might aswell have the truck you want. Plus if you ever expand your business you can haul more and make more. I recently got a 6.2 cc replacing my old 5.4 supercab love it
