Ford sent me an email because I supposedly have some exclusive 2023 truck. LOL THey want to put a data logger on there to maximize my customer experience. I'm going to wait until the offer big bucks. Right now offer is 500.00
Good friend just had his F-350 stolen. If that gadget can track the where-abouts of the truck I think I'd sign up for it. Especially if the data logger is hidden from view.
They get enough data from you as it is. There’s NO WAY I’d sign up to give more of my privacy away.
Something doesn’t jive. Consider all the data they currently get from the truck, your phone (if connected to the truck), and FordPass app……what capabilities does the new device have that the truck doesn’t?? Video camera in the cabin? Regardless, it’s be a hard pass for me.
All 25 car brands we researched earned our *Privacy Not Included warning label -- making cars the official worst category of products for privacy that we have ever reviewed.
That’s right: every car brand we looked at collects more personal data than necessary and uses that information for a reason other than to operate your vehicle and manage their relationship with you
I would find out exactly what data is being recorded, and who it is being shared with, before I agreed to anything.

Exactly! They are already recorded all kinds of data, and sharing it with whomever they want to. And somewhere in that encyclopedia of papers you signed when you bought it, you gave them permission to do so!
