Heated Mirror Option

Hello Everyone,

I have a newbie question. I have an earlier 03 F250 Lariat Diesel and only have the telescoping mirrors. I would like to add the heated and turn signal mirrors. My dealer said the harness would not accomodate. Does anyone know of any other option? Thanks

You need to double check the harness. I bet it will work, just plug in the new mirrors.

If not you will have to hardwire the mirrors.

Dubya;

I was in the same boat. Here's what I did:

The Pico part number is not correct, you'll need the narrower pins, unfortunately I don't have the number, but there's only two sizes. I've also since removed the switch and wired the mirror heat so it's on all the time, just like the factory installation.

Good luck,

Rick

Heated mirror option

You may want to think twice before modifying the wiring harness to accommodate electric mirrors. You may void part of the warranty on your electrical system. These are an XLT option on late model '03s. MY '03 F250 XLT/SD/SC/LWB was built in June and has the heated mirrors w/ turn signals as well as the integral seat belts, which I understand are both standard now on '04 XLT's.

Only if the modification you've done to the wiring is directly at fault for the failure. That's a right guaranteed by law.
