I got a 2021 F250 xlt with the 6.7 and a couple months ago noticed about 15/20 minutes after the truck is turned off my headlights and taillights come on for about a second then go out.

Doesn’t matter if the truck is locked or unlocked, key in the ignition or not, headlight switch can be set on auto or on off, doesn’t matter what I try the lights keeping turning on.

I’ve got about 65.000km on it now so my bumper to bumper warranty is up so figured any help here would be appreciated before the dealer charges me to look at it.

 

If they only stay on for a second, is it worth having the dealer look at it?

Sounds like, for some reason, they are flashing when the truck goes to sleep.

 

Were any electrical or FORscan changes made to the truck?

No everything is all original with the truck.

 

It does this consistently? On two occasions, while scanning through some security cam footage, I noticed my truck randomly flash the lights. Similar to when the lock button is pressed on the fob. The Sync screen also appeared to be lit up for awhile after. Not something that happens regularly though.

 

Yea it happens every time I turn the truck off. I first noticed when I had it parked it my garage and was doing something and they came on, since then I’ve kept an eye on it and literally every time for about three months now.

 

Maybe it's haunted, Casper has set up residence in it.
