22 F350 and my DEF light is on with 1/2 tank of DEF. I topped it off, and it showed 1500 miles left on full tank of DEF, previously a full tank would show 6000- 8,000 miles. Anyone had this issue? Goes to dealership Tuesday. Thanks
Your first post, I take it this truck is new to you?
Your experience with the DEF system on your truck is normal for a 22, mine acts the same way.
I would bet the miles will update after you drive it for a while.
Also, when you say you filled it, how did you fill it, at a truck stop pump or by jug?
There is about 1.5 gallons of DEF capacity above the full reading on the gauge, so if you just added a jug, it won't be completely full.

Nope, ordered truck new, been driving def diesel for years.
I FILLED DEF at pump to full, went to 1700 mile range, about 4 days later, still 1/2 tank DEF, light comes on, says only 400 miles, refill now.
Never took it down to see if it would restrict rpm's as I was on the road traveling. Never had anything close to this, can't wait to delete it

Def NOT normal. I have a '22 F350 platinum and the light should not be on until it's truly low. My light can be on and I can add 2 gallons and easily see it climb and give me well over 1000+ range and the light turns off.
I have about 1/4 on the gauge right now and show over 1500 miles to empty.
At full, I get around 7-8k miles I do believe. Def get it looked at.
