When I used to drink (liquid candy) soda. If I drank say a Coca Cola really, really fast it would always give me hiccups. I always hated when that would happen. I am one of these people that get hiccups that last for days...... Horrible and painful.
I thought it was just me. I do not do it with bottled soda, and canned soda, but everytime I go out to eat and get fountain soda, I ALWAYS hiccup after the first sip, and then it is fine after that. Whats up with that?...Jay
Fountain soda is using a FRESH mix of carbonated water. If you sip it right after it's in the cup, all of the carbonation is still in the syrup and when you drink it, it builds pressure from the carbonation escaping. Let you drinks sit a litte before you sip.
It is so relieving to see that I am not the only one that spends countless hours pondering the intricacies of the human condition.
I figure if we all pool our money together, at least ONE of us could buy a life. I'll donate my entire .89 cent retirement nestegg. Who else will ante up?

Speaking of weird stuff- everytime I have a Whopper from Burger King, I lose the vision in my left eye, and my right leg goes numb!
Then, if I have one of those bloomin' onions from Outback, all my hair falls out and my tongue turns kind of a purple-y orange color.
Oh, and every time I drive a Hyundai, I do this burp/fart/hiccup/sneeze thing all at once.
Do you think I should see a doctor about any of this?
