I have a 2002 F-350 7.3l crew cab with 6 speed stick. I have had a number of problems with the truck but never any engine troubles. The other day I started to leave town and the vehicle acted as if it were running out of fuel and left me stranded. The vehicle is 3/4 full on the tank, but it acts as if it is empty. Ford towed to local garage and they replaced the cam position sensor and the glow plug relay as both of these codes showed up in the computer. Truck still doesn't work. Techs at garage says they don't have any idea what the problem is. According to my trucks computer and the computer in the garage the truck is fine, however the truck doesn't run.

Any suggestions????

BTW- Since I've had so many problems they offered me a new truck at x-plan. Good idea?

If you ore offered a new truck TAKE IT. The 2002 trucks have had more problems than most others... My 02 was towed more in 24,000 miles, than my '96 has been in 190K

no question is stupid round here...check here or in the new truck buyer section. there have been several explanations of the A plan, X plan and other options available thru ford.

 

Try turning the key over/on. It just might start!!!
