I would love to track down the rear window defrost setup though.
The XLT grill emblem, good one. Those are on the 77' and earlier models.
Didn't they also have them on the hood?

i have a 1975 f150 ranger, it has chrome trim on the bottom, around the fenders around the doors around the windshield over the top of the tailgate, the truck is metallic blue, sliding rear window, rear cargo light, AC, PS, PB, all from the factory it was specially ordered, im the 2nd owner i just got it in july., but i dont think them are any rare options tho.

Has anyone seen the 70's cabs with the black vinyl covering over the back half of the cab, usually with the chrome drip rails. I've seen 2. Also there's the one ton camper special with it's longer wheel base. I've seen 2 of them also. I've seen 1 am/fm/cb and mine has a factory 8-track. Mine also has all the bottom and top trim, and mine is a 1978 f150 custom. My bronco is a 1979 ranger xlt with leather captain's chairs, upper map lights, etc...all the bells and whistles. How rare are the big sticker trims that run off the hood and down the sides?

the camper special I was talking about still had an 8 ft box I think, just that the rear wheel well was moved further back, and a contractor's side box was installed on the passenger side. I also mentioned earlier that my bronco was a ranger xlt...only to confirm that I don'ty think they ever came as explorers.

The '79 Indy 500 model had the factory alloys and rollbar. I've seen a couple with the pushbar too, but mine doesn't have that. Mine also has a factory three spoke sport steering wheel like in the mustangs. Was this available in other f-series models? There's also reference in the owner's manual about a factory dual battery setup. Anybody seen that?
