Fob quit working

I'm sure this has been covered but I couldn't find any reference to it.

My fob just quit working yesterday, worked Saturday without issues, batteries were changed in both fobs in June. I put the battery on my meter and get 3 volts as it should. I, of course, will change the battery but am wondering if others have experienced a similar failure?

Are there any troubleshooting procedures?

If it is a goner, replacement suggestions?

2019 F250 Limited and original fob (it is the one used almost all the time)

TIA

Check this link out as they talk about the hidden key fob slot. this may help determine if it's a battery issue or keyfob is dead

Is your truck battery low?
See if it will lock and unlock with the truck running.

Update, the other fob works as normal so the issue isn't the truck.

I used the bad fob to start the truck using the cutout in the center console. I guess that means the fob isn't completely shot. I still need to get a battery, tomorrow after work. I would swap the battery from the good fob but I'm not taking a chance at breaking the only good fob I have...

If you get your fob working you may want to get another one and program it yourself. You can self program if you have 2 working fobs. If you only have one you need to go to a dealer or locksmith.

I always get a at least one additional spare with any car or truck I buy.

Excellent advice. That’s a lot cheaper than the dealership will charge you.
