Frame replacement/repair
Any constructive suggestions appreciated on replacing part of or all of my 2000 Excursion frame. It's mostly trash in the front and back in between not so bad. I was thinking to remove the body and then cut off the worst and replace it with 1/4 or 3/8 in and match as close as possible height and width. Then the less bad weld 1/4 or 3/8 sheet metal. To raise the body off the frame was planning a gantry and engine hoist both 2 ton capacity then sitting the body on 4x4 timber between cider blocks or steel 55 gallon barrels. My ultimate goal is recreation and towing for same.
